From popping the champagne to dancing under the fireworks- a New Year’s Eve wedding celebration can be really fun, but it comes with a lot of preparation. To help you with the extra planning, The Wedding Team at Delamere Manor have compiled a list of our top five things to remember for your celebrations on December 31st…
1. Book as early as possible
New Year’s Eve is a really popular date for weddings so it’s important that you book everything way in advance. From the wedding venue to the suppliers, make sure you leave enough time to ensure you get the New Year wedding you always dreamed of.
2. Double check prices and contracts
As New Year’s Eve is a public holiday, it’s likely that your suppliers will add on some additional fees. Make sure you check the small print and double check timings on specific deliverables as some suppliers may not be available to work after midnight.
3. Give your guests lots of notice
Booking a New Year’s Eve wedding comes with lots of benefits as many of your guests will be granted the following day off work, however, it’s important not to assume that they will be available. Give your friends and family as much notice as possible to ensure they don’t make alternative plans to ring in the new year.
4. Consider block bookings
If you’re planning a location wedding, you may wish to block book accommodation for your guests. New Year’s Eve is a popular holiday and it leaves no room for wedding guests to make last-minute bookings on accommodation. If your venue can accommodate to all of your guests, try to block book as many rooms as possible to avoid any last-minute stresses.
5. Consider leaving a tip
From bar staff and waiters to babysitters and drivers, many of the people working at your wedding will be working longer shifts, so tips are always massively appreciated on this specific wedding date.
