MICHELLE STUBBS

DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

Michelle is delighted to open the doors of her home to the lucky couples who choose to get married and stay here.

Having worked in hospitality through most of her study years, Michelle gained a real pleasure in serving the public and especially hosting events.  Although all her studies led to a legal career, her passion has always been entertaining!

“I love hearing people’s reactions when they first enter Delamere Manor. I have worked passionately over the years to make Delamere Manor a homely and inviting environment despite its grandeur and vast grounds.”

In her spare time, Michelle loves riding her horses, working out at the gym and supporting her favourite football team Everton FC.  Michelle also loves to travel and gains many of her ideas and inspiration for Delamere Manor from her visits abroad.

“Because I travelled away a lot Delamere Manor wasn’t getting the enjoyment it deserved. I decided to put it on a holiday rental site. I was getting inundated with people enquiring if they could get married there! I thought ‘what a lovely idea!’ And that’s where the concept was born.”

DALE MCNALLY

DIRECTOR OF SALES & OPERATIONS

Dale’s love for all things weddings and events definitely stemmed from a young age as he’s always had a passion for romance!

Dale started his career in the high-end hospitality industry, just a little over 7 years ago.

Whilst working in boutique hotels, he learnt a great deal about the principles of great customer service & event management, coupled with his responsibilities for many bespoke weddings & corporate events.

In 2017 Dale joined the Delamere Manor team, where his vast experience fitted perfectly within the company for hosting weddings and events.

“I absolutely love the events industry, especially seeing our clients faces, when we reveal their wedding or event to them before their guests get to enjoy”.

When Dale’s not hard at work, he’s usually found in the country-side with his dogs and family. He has a strong passion for theatre too; watching not performing!

JOY HITCHEN

SALES & EVENTS MANAGER

Having travelled the world working for a private 5-star airline, Joy always knew that she wanted to continue her career within the hospitality industry. She’s been lucky enough to transfer her experience through to the events industry and in particular, Delamere Manor Events, where she has worked since 2017.

It’s a big thing to arrange your own event and at times this can become a little overwhelming. Your event should perfectly reflect you and make you feel totally yourself. I’m comfortable in the knowledge that I can provide the reassurance and confidence for you to put your trust in me and also for you to feel that you can chat to me about anything from the point of booking your event through to the day itself. My passion is to make memories from start to finish, offering more than just an event but an unforgettable experience filled with the most amazing celebrations. It’s an absolute honour and a pleasure to be a part of someone’s special day and to be able to do this as my job is simply the best! It’s also crucial to have a great team around you and I’m lucky to work with the very best at Delamere Manor. Our little team is a bunch of great, friendly people.

I can usually be found lighting the numerous candles that we have at Delamere Manor in preparation for an event, which is a full-time job in itself. When I’m not lighting candles my happy place is walking along a beautiful sandy beach with my naughty cockapoo dog, Stanley. I’m a chocoholic who also loves the occasional glass of Champagne.

GEMMA MCTIGUE

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Gemma joined Delamere Manor as the Financial Controller in 2019 where she specialises in cash flow management, book-keeping and payroll.

She has gained a wealth of experience having held a variety of finance roles over the past 10 years. 

As the company FC, Gemma is responsible for all things financial including – managing all transactions, sales ledger and purchase ledger, payroll and VAT.  Gemma creates regular reports to identify results and trends, prepares financial forecasts and budgets, and suggests updates and improvements for accounting systems…in other words, all of the really exciting finance stuff! 

“Delamere Manor is a fantastic wedding venue and an amazing place to work. Our team is small but strong, we are like a family!”

In Gemma’s spare time,  she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and her six horses and three dogs.

GUEST EXPERIENCE MANAGER

Donna joined the Delamere team in Summer 2017 around the same time as Dale to enhance the guests experience during their stay at the Manor. In addition to Donna’s main responsibilities of ensuring everything is meticulously presented for the individuals who get to experience the facilities on-site, Donna also assists the team with ensuring that the Weddings/Events run without a hitch.

“I have worked for many years in customer service as a senior manager, my skills and personality are the perfect fit for the client experience which is my key focus, working with Dale and the team is a great joy where immersing ourselves into a world of luxury, beauty and fantastic celebrations is part of the role. Working at Delamere Manor with the team is lovely, it feels more like a family than a place of work.”

TRISHA CRANK

GUEST EXPERIENCE ASSISTANT

Trisha joined the Delamere Manor team in April 2020. Her duties are keeping the Manor clean and tidy throughout and also making sure the guests enjoy their time with us. She also assists the team with weddings and events.

Trisha loves working with the team, who are like a small family rather than colleagues which works perfectly.

When Trisha is not working hard at the Manor, she’s at home enjoying family life with her 2 children and husband with an occasional glass of Prosecco!

SALES & EVENTS COORDINATOR

From the very first moment Victoria stepped through the doors of Delamere Manor she fell in love with its splendour. The breath-taking gardens, beautiful lake, stunning courtyard and fabulous interior design was such a wonderful surprise for her.

Victoria says she will never forget driving through the grand wrought iron gates, up the picturesque driveway and setting eyes on this stunning venue. Her interview nerves were instantly calmed when she was greeted by the team who were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. She felt like she was where she belonged and had found her dream job!

Victoria is so passionate about Delamere Manor and claims it fills her heart with so much happiness to see couples and their guests experiencing the very same feelings she had that day.  The charm of the beautiful Manor brings such wonderful smiles and feels so welcoming for everyone who walks through the doors.

One of the many reasons Victoria is so incredibly passionate about the job she does, is seeing the happiness it brings to others and she knows she has the perfect job, because when she has a day off, she just wants to be back in work!

With over twenty years experience in event management, Victoria has always felt so fortunate that her life has taken her on such an exciting journey.

She has also been involved in fabulous events all over the UK and abroad, working alongside the BBC and television crews, made many TV appearances and had the honour of working with famous faces such as Prince Charles, Boris Johnson and many others.

One of Victoria’s favourite corporate events she had the pleasure of managing was The Wirral Life Awards, celebrating the very best of local businesses, attended by over seven hundred influential people from the North West. Victoria says working such large events was so exciting, but challenging at the same time, ensuring everything is run perfectly for the guests to have a fabulous time.

Victoria’s true passion is helping couples to bring together the wedding of their dreams.  Having vast experience in managing both western and multicultural weddings, creating an event that couples will cherish the memories of for a lifetime is what really drives her.

From the very first time Victoria meets a couple, she listens to everything they are wishing for in their wedding, to ensure that one of the most important days of their lives will be as magical as they had always dreamt it would be.

Victoria’s friends would describe her as having a fun-loving personality and being very creative. When not at work you will find her on the river kayaking or practicing mixed martial arts with her son. Another great passion of Victoria’s is floristry, in which she has a Higher National Diploma, which comes in very useful ensuring the flowers at Delamere Manor’s events are kept looking fabulous throughout the day.

Just a tiny part of why she loves her job is helping to make beautiful memories and dreams come true! At Delamere Manor that what the team do!

EMILY GLANCY

SALES & MARKETING COORDINATOR

Hospitality is thoroughly in Emily’s blood. She has always had a passion for working in the wedding industry, ever since she got her 1st job as Wedding Coordinator at the very venue her mum got married at.

Helping to make couples dream days come true is the most fulfilling role she could imagine doing.

Before joining Delamere in June 2021, Emily spent her career working across some of Cheshire’s most desired 4-star hotel wedding venues, within Sales and Events Management. Having been part of hundreds of weddings over the years, it still amazes her how couples manage to find ways to make their special day unique.

After 10 years working in the wedding industry, she found her dream job working in a venue that can make any couples’ wedding day magical!

Delamere Manor is Emily’s favourite wedding venue by far that she has had the pleasure of working at. As a creative person, she loves how Delamere Manor provides a blank canvas for couples to truly make their wedding day their own! Every wedding is beautifully bespoke!

In Emily’s role as Marketing and Sales Coordinator, she loves to showcase the stunning Edwardian Manor House during private couple viewings, opening evenings and on social media platforms. You will often find her taking photos and videos that bring the magic of the manor to life.

Outside of working hours, you will most likely see Emily at the poker tables. One of her biggest achievements is becoming part of Unibet Poker’s Stream Team on Twitch as a semi-professional poker player. As well as playing online, her passion for poker has given her the opportunity to travel the globe, competing in many poker tournaments.
Her greatest success is coming 2nd in the World League Poker Championships in Las Vegas in 2017, representing the UK against America and Canada.

HUGH MCGEADY

NIGHT PORTER

Hugh has worked for many years in hospitality in some of the best hotels around Cheshire, developing his customer focused skills, but he believes nowhere compares to Delamere Manor.

“It is such a beautiful Venue and never fails to completely wow our guests, it’s lovely to see”.

Hugh joined the team in 2020 and felt everyone was totally committed, professional and it was like a small family, a real joy to work with, which translates to a wonderful experience for guests.

When Hugh’s not in work, you’ll find him walking his little terrier along the river bank in Northwich which he loves.

ALEX WORRALL

BAR MANAGER

Alex’s love for hospitality started as a young student working part-time and over 20 years later he turned that love into his career.

Working in various styles of restaurants and bars over his career, he’s learnt a lot of skills over the years with WSET wine training, cocktail training, beer and spirit knowledge courses, coupled with his enthusiasm for great customer service.

Having written cocktail menus, wine menus and managed ranges in all types of bars, it gives Alex great pride in his product knowledge and passion for his job.

Having recently joined Delamere Manor, his experience and training with all things bar related helps guests have that tailor-made cocktail menu, perfect wines and the right selection on the bar with a well-trained bar team that love what they do.

He absolutely loves what he does, seeing people enjoying themselves on their big day and sharing special moments make the job really enjoyable.

When not at work, Alex loves being out in the countryside hiking or enjoying a nice drink himself!
