Over the last year, we’ve seen some of our favourite celebrities put a ring on it and as we wait in anticipation for the wedding photos, we’ve pulled together a round-up of some of our favourite engagement announcements in 2021…
1. Sophia Bush & Grant Hughes
One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush announced the couple’s engagement on August 10th with an Instagram post to her followers. The caption read, “So it turns out that being your favourite person’s favourite person is the actual best feeling on planet Earth”. Congratulations to the happy couple!
2. Camilla Thurlow & Jamie Jewitt
These Love Island sweethearts announced their engagement back in February after four years of being together since they first met on the hit reality show. The happy couple, who welcomed their daughter Nell in October 2020, announced the news on Instagram with an adorable photo of the family. So sweet!
3. Bel Powley & Douglas Booth
The actors posted a photo to their Instagram accounts on July 3, including one of Bel showing off her gorgeous engagement ring. The Pride and Prejudice star proposed to Bel in London during a romantic picnic in the park. Congratulations!
4. Bella Thorne & Benjamin Mascolo
Former Disney star, Bella Thorne, said “yes” to boyfriend and Italian musician, Benjamin Mascolo in March. The star was presented with a stunning, pear-shaped engagement ring which she proudly showed off on social media. We can’t wait to see the wedding photos!
5. Shailene Woodley & Aaron Rodgers
Reports about Shailene dating Aaron started to circulate in February 2021 and before we knew it, the pair announced their engagement! Shailene confirmed the engagement during an appearance on “The Tonight Show” and revealed they met during the pandemic. The actress commented “I never thought I’d be engaged to someone who threw balls for a living. I never thought as a little girl, ‘Yeah, when I grow up, I’m going to marry someone who throws balls!”. Congratulations!
