An Account of Their Wedding Day

So, where should we begin?!
We got engaged on 9th January 2022, the day before Lisa’s birthday and the search for our dream wedding venue began!
Lisa and I loved the idea of an outdoor ceremony, incorporating the style, class, and grand features one would expect at a wedding. Having searched for a few months for a venue that would also be able to incorporate our wildflower wedding theme, then we found Delamere Manor!
Lisa and I grew up visiting Delamere Forest in the nearby area throughout our childhood, so we were delighted to find the Delamere Manor wedding venue just around the corner, an extraordinary one it was at that!
Upon arriving at Delamere Manor, we were eager and excited to see what was beyond the grand electric gates; driving up the tree-lined winding driveway that leads to the main entrance, we were greeted by a spectacular house. More was to come, with simply stunning views over the beautiful rolling grounds and 6-acre lake.
Seeing what the Manor had to offer, we immediately knew it was the one, mainly because Lisa cried!
It was perfect to host a whimsical wildflower-themed wedding. Lisa’s dream was to always incorporate a horse into the wedding somehow. This was made possible with the help of Joy and the team, so Lisa’s dream finally became a reality. Not to steal the limelight from my now darling wife, I, too, had the dream of a grand entrance. My three brothers and I are avid runners, so as a further surprise to our guests, the four of us ran up the now iconic Delamere Manor hill to the theme of Chariots of Fire!
Joy and the team were so accommodating in helping us prepare for the big day; nothing was too much trouble, from wild lavender-themed cocktails on arrival to keeping surprises such as the evening karaoke club we arranged in the nightclub after hours for our guests. It was beyond our expectations and wildest dreams and was the perfect day. Lisa recalls Joy telling her the morning of the wedding how determined she was to ensure that we would have the desired outdoor ceremony and that the weather was in our favour.
Lisa, being the brains behind the more minor details, put together the wildflower theme to fit in with our fairytale marathon. When guests arrived and looked upon the romantic setting and surrounding grounds where the ceremony took place, their reaction was overwhelmed by the sheer beauty and backdrop in which it would take place. They all knew our desires, and it was all about to take place, it reduced many of the guests to tears, either laughing at my entrance or gasping as the sun shone through the clouds just as we turned to one another to say our vows, the site of Tuli the horse in a wildflower theme garland, or the breathtaking image of Lisa in her bridal gown.
The catering staff did a wonderful job ensuring delightful drinks and bountiful and fabulous food flowed throughout the day and night.
We could not have asked for any more; thank you again to all the team at Delamere Manor!
