Walking down the aisle is one of the most memorable parts of your wedding day and the music for a memorable walk down the aisle you choose when you make your entrance is a big decision.

You may want to go classical with a string quartet, play a love ballad or go with something a little more leftfield that suits you and your partner’s tastes. We’ve known brides (and grooms) come down the aisle to all genres of music from house tunes and country classics to harpists and gospel choirs so go with a song you and your partner love and there’s unlikely to be a dry eye in the house.

If you can’t decide between a classic instrumental or a more modern love song with vocals for a memorable walk down the aisle, get the best of both worlds with an instrumental cover of one of your favourite songs. You also won’t want something too fast as you’ll want to walk at a slower pace than normal. If the song you’ve got your heart set on is too up-beat, there may be a slower acoustic version you can use.

Adele’s cover of Bob Dylan’s Make You Feel My Love is soul-stirring and beautiful. Expect tears!

Made famous in Baz Luhrmann’s hit 1996 movie, Romeo and Juliet, this is so romantic. Expect more tears!

All You Need Is Love – The Beatles

Who doesn’t remember Lynden David Hall’s performance in the wedding ceremony in the film Love Actually. Whether you opt for the original Beatles track or one of its many covers, this song is sure to be a hit with your guests.

Over The Rainbow– Israel Kamakawiwo’ole

This ukulele cover version of the classic song ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ is a gorgeous and different tune to walk down the aisle to!

Air on the G String by Johann Sebastian Bach

This classical string orchestra favourite is a beautiful ceremony choice and less played than the popular Canon in D Major.
