In our mission to offer the best service possible to our brides and grooms, we are now delighted to bring to you the option of a toastmaster for your big day.
Today we are bringing you a little more information from our toastmaster Stefan and handing over to him to tell you a little more about himself and his role on your wedding day.
The Role
A toastmaster provides all the behind the scenes co-ordination on the day of your event so that you can relax and hand all of the pressure over to us… we like it – don’t worry!
Services
On the day…
I am the calming influence on your day. I am there to look after you and your guests.
I liaise with all of your suppliers and the staff at your venue to ensure that everything ties together, runs on time and flows calmly and perfectly.
I conduct any formalities you choose to have, warmly welcoming your guests, organising the receiving line & photographs, giving clear and confident announcements & introductions to your speeches.
I ensure that everyone is in the right place at the right time and that they know the order of service, and most importantly that all are having a great time.
I provide the first port of call for any questions or unforeseen problems that can and do crop up, do not worry if this happens, with an experienced toastmaster around you’ll be in safe hands.
Planning
Whatever your visions are for your big day, my aim is to make these happen for you. Whether you want a seamlessly run understated approach with a relaxed atmosphere or a bold and dramatic entrance with all the bells and whistles these can be tailored to you. People often make the mistake that a relaxed event means less organisation. I firmly believe that the most relaxed weddings are ones that have been carefully planned and have all the finer details taken care of in the background so there is simply nothing for you or your guests to worry about.
Before your event, I like to have a detailed meeting with you to discuss your plans and to understand everything that is important to you. If you need any advice on any part of the day please do not hesitate to ask. I pride myself on being warm, friendly and approachable. I have the industry experience to know how to get the best out of venues and how to work well with their teams.
I also realised whilst planning my own wedding just how very important it is for the professionals to listen to you and adapt their service to suit you, not just giving a one size fits all approach so that your day is exactly the way you want it to be.
About Me
I started out in the hotel industry over a decade ago as a Wedding Coordinator and then Conference and Banqueting Manager. Whilst running many events and weddings over the years I realised that what I really wanted was to be a professional toastmaster. The most enjoyable part of my job has always been meeting people, getting to know what they want out of their event and helping them to achieve this. I’m positively a ‘people person’ and I aim to make people happy. In 2012 I set up The Tall Toastmaster and in 2013 have felt very honoured to have been accepted into the Northern Guild of Toastmasters – possibly being their youngest and tallest member yet!
I enjoy meeting couples and their families planning their big day and discovering wonderful venues.
I live in Stockport very close to the City of Manchester. On the days away from my red coat, you’ll normally find me pedalling the trails on my mountain bike, in my woodwork shed or whipping up a caramel latte in the kitchen.
