A typical twilight ceremony will start anytime from 4pm (depending on the time of year) Cheshire East Council allow ceremonies up to 8pm, but be mindful that you will still have lots of eating, drinking and dancing to do, so make sure you leave enough time for the party!
Your food options here at Delamere are as individual as you, and our multi-award-winning in-house catering team Cheeky Chilli, can plan the perfect menu for you, your guests and the overall vibe of your big-day.
You might want a traditional wedding breakfast after the ceremony, which means you could omit the night time food, or go straight into party mode with a funky tray service or BBQ option, with a few late-night snacks thrown in for the party crew!

It’s All in the Planning!
Although we know our venue lends itself beautifully to an evening ceremony, you need to do your research! If your dream is to say ‘I Do’ as the sky turns pink & the sun starts to make its descent, we would recommend booking your ceremony around forty-five minutes before sunset.
This means that your wedding photographs will benefit from the soft glow and beautiful colours cast across the estate as the sun disappears behind a canopy of ancient trees.
Outdoor versus Indoor ‘I Do’s’
Most of our couple’s hope (& pray) for an outdoor ceremony on our incredible terrace, however, our stunning Courtyard can be equally as beautiful. With a fully retractable roof, floor to ceiling window and thousands of twinkly lights to bathe your guests in the most gorgeous glow – it’s a showstopping space that’s works wonderfully at twilight.
For couples looking for an added bit of ‘wow’ factor, why not consider exchanging your vows at the very heart of the estate on our lakeside jetty, pagoda, or our beautiful folly. The whole house & estate is licenced, so go wild, be creative and plan your dream ceremony.
Dancing In the Moonlight!
As well as our beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces, we are lucky to have our very own ‘secret’ nightclub. Complete with its own swish cocktail bar, sound system and cool outdoor terrace, the nightclub is where the party really gets started!
If you want to ramp things up with spectacular lighting, amazing entertainment, or a superstar DJ, we work with some of the best lighting and production companies in the business – all of whom can help inject an added bit of ‘wow’ to your evening shenanigans!
