Weddings, like any other important occasions, rarely go 100% to plan. No matter how carefully you put together your wedding day preparations, there’s always the chance of a hiccup.
Luckily, here at Delamere Manor, we’re one of the top wedding venues in Cheshire, so our dedicated wedding planning team is always on hand to assist, but here are a few extra tips to keep your wedding running smoothly.
1. Wardrobe malfunctions
Ask your chief bridesmaid to bring a small emergency pack to help fix any unexpected wardrobe malfunctions. Safety pins are a must, and you might want to include a small sewing kit, stain removal wipes, and double-sided adhesive tape. If you’ve opted for glamour rather than comfort when it comes to your shoes, it might be good idea to add plasters too.
2. Rain
You can’t control the weather, but you can plan ahead. Be sure to check the forecast daily in the run up to the wedding. If it looks as though a downpour is set to put a dampener on your big day, you could purchase some white or see-through umbrellas for your wedding party. Alternatively, you could arrange an indoor photoshoot with some attractive background decor for your official wedding photographs.
3. Power cuts
However unlikely, power cuts can happen. Check to see if your venue has a back-up generator in the event of a blackout. If not, think of an alternative. Candles are beautiful and atmospheric, and you may even find that a candle-lit wedding is more lovely and romantic than you could have imagined.
Give us a call today at Delamere Manor and we’ll be happy to talk about your wedding plans, and our provisions for emergencies.
