You’re engaged, you’ve found your perfect venue and now you’ve secured a date!
Next step, send out your Save the Dates – the official announcement of your wedding date and location.
So when should you send these out? Ideally four – six months before your wedding, that way you’re giving everyone you want to be there on your big day plenty of notice.
What info do they need to include? Just the basics at this stage, date, location (you don’t need to be exact if you want to save this for the invitation) but it’s a good idea to let guests know roughly where as they may need to book additional days off work etc…for travel.
Can they be sent via email? It’s becoming more and more common to send your Save The Date via email and a budget-friendly option too! However, make sure you’ve got a list of up to date email addresses and just be aware your e-card could end up in guests’ spam so make sure you follow up with anyone you don’t hear back from.
Top Tip – the Save the Date is the first glimpse into your wedding so try and set the tone with this first bit of communication. This may be colour palette, style, or something fun which works with the overall theme of your wedding. Here are some fun ideas chosen by the Wedding Team at Delamere Manor for a little inspiration.
