Ways to acknowledge your original wedding date
Many couples have sadly had to postpone their wedding during the pandemic but as the day approaches, have you thought about how to spend it? Get dressed up
This is the day you were going to wear that dress you’ve always dreamed of, and while you’re not going to be able to put it on just yet, why not get dressed up anyway and feel special? We’ve all spent the last year in our comfies, make this the day you go to town on your outfit!
Cook your wedding breakfast
If you’d chosen the menu for your wedding breakfast, create a simplified version of it and enjoy a romantic meal for two! Whether you’ve planned a formal sit down meal, a BBQ or a buffet, replicate it at home and enjoy with a glass of Champagne.
Make a wedding cake
It might not be as grandiose as your actual wedding cake but you can still enjoy that moment you cut the first slice together. And you could save a few slices for your family so they get to enjoy the moment too.
Celebrate your first dance
If you’re not the most confident of dancers, this is the perfect opportunity to get some practice in! And rather than just swaying to your first dance, you could run through your whole playlist to make sure each song works well next to each other.
Buy each other a wedding present
You may want to save your really special gift for your new wedding date but you could mark the occasion you were meant to say ‘I do’ with a small sentimental gift – something you can keep, that will remind you that even though you didn’t get to celebrate the way you were planning to, you still made it a day to remember.
