Wedding Team here at Delamere Manor!
Here’s a quick Q&A with our Director of Sales and Operations; Dale.
1. When did you join the Delamere Manor team and what’s your background?
I joined Delamere Manor in July 2017 and what a fantastic time is has continued to be. The team and venue are like no other. Delamere Manor is like my second home. It’s where I spend most of my time and my team are like my extended family! I began my career in the boutique 5-star hospitality industry at the age of 18, just a little over 8 years ago. Over the years, I learnt a great deal about the principles of great customer service, planning and event management. I am incredibly passionate about planning and managing events – it’s what I do best. My vast experience fitted perfectly within the company for hosting weddings and events, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
2. What do you love the most about Delamere Manor and working in the wedding industry?
Delamere Manor is my favourite wedding venue! The setting takes my breath away every morning I drive through the gates, it screams romance and luxury which is what I love most. The place where dreams are made, and memories are treasured for a lifetime. As a creative and detailed driven individual, I love the fact that couples don’t have to stick by tradition if they don’t want to, the fact that each couple can tailor the venue to suit their style and desired atmosphere is what makes Delamere Manor so special. No two weddings are the same.
My favourite thing about working in the wedding industry is that you get to help people celebrate their happiest day. It is a privilege to be a part of a couple’s wedding journey and helping to make their dream wedding day a reality.
3. What are some of your favourite wedding moments you’ve witnessed during your time at Delamere?
My favourite wedding moment I witnessed at Delamere must be during lockdown when a couple decided that they would have their wedding despite the strict restrictions potentially not allowing them to have the day they had always dreamt of. Zoe and John designed a theme of autumnal sunset and with four days’ notice, we hosted the most personable and heartfelt reception to date. Accompanied with 13 of their nearest and dearest they transformed the Courtyard into the most magical setting for their reception and it exceeded all their expectations. A small but beautiful day with so much meaningfulness for themselves and their guests.

5. Any unusual or memorable things you’ve seen at weddings at Delamere?
The most memorable wedding was when we hosted a beautiful multicultural wedding on the 23rd December 2018, it was where the UK met India, with the groom arriving on a white horse with drummers, into a reception with a traditional English choir- just magical!
6. Do you have a favourite season for weddings?
My favourite season has to be autumn, it’s the rich colours in the trees, the autumnal sunsets and twinkly lights in the courtyard making autumn the most romantic time of the year at Delamere. Picture opportunities are at every angle and couples are spoilt for choice for both inside and outside.
