Make sure you keep checking and ask a friend or relative to also look over the text before you click the ‘order’ button with your stationery supplier.  

• Avoiding Samples

Many wedding stationery suppliers will provide you with a sample for free. Make sure to take advantage of this service so you can get a feel of the paper and design before going to print. 

• Order Size

Although many couples try to cut back on orders to save costs, make sure to order a little more than you believe you will need so you have a few invitations to spare. These will come in handy if you need to invite some last-minute guests or if you make any handwritten errors. 

• Ordering before Planning

Make sure to order your save-the-dates and invitations after you and your partner have selected your wedding theme. The wedding stationery is the first glimpse into your wedding that your guests will receive, giving them a feel of what to expect on your special day. Consider colour palettes, fonts, and style to ensure the invites set the right tone. 

• Forgetting to outline how to RSVP

Remember – your wedding guests like to know exactly what they need to do so you know that they are attending your wedding. Make sure you make it clear on the invitations how you would like them to RSVP with a set deadline- this will avoid unnecessary chasing.
