During the recent bank holiday, Delamere Manor was privileged to host the wedding of Ruby Clay and Stephen Shaw. No detail was left to chance as Ruby transformed the Manor into the perfect setting for her special day. The day started out with team Groom arriving in style aboard a Nissan GT-R with a well-known Top Gear favourite, The Stig; and by the look of Stephen’s face, his nerves weren’t wedding based! Luckily the weather prevailed which meant the ceremony took place outside on our terrace overlooking the stunning Cheshire countryside. There were tissues needed for many, as the bride walked down the aisle alongside her father, beaming with pride as he prepared to give his daughter away. The outdoor ceremony was made exceptionally more beautiful as Liz Hendry, an exquisite wedding pianist played the Beauty and the Beast classic, “Tale as Old as Time” which can be seen on our Instagram page.
Guests were then invited into our Courtyard, where the room sparkled with a lavish rose gold and silver colour scheme from the linen, right down to the rose gold magnum of prosecco on the top table. Table numbers were done away with and instead replaced with place names across the globe from Las Vegas to Thailand, complete with a romantic tale of the newlyweds. Each guest had a unique wedding favour, hand selected to match their personal taste with a miniature bottle of their favourite spirit complete with mixer as they awaited their wedding breakfast, provided as always by our award winning caterers, Cheeky Chilli. To help remember the beautiful day, guests were given the opportunity to make use of a polaroid camera which could then be attached to their guestbook along with a personal message for the bride and groom. The night was concluded with a trip to Ibiza as we turned our own nightclub into party central as everyone took to the dancefloor with live entertainment from the hugely talented Six15 boys – Tom on Sax, Kami on percussion and Will on DJ. It was a pleasure welcoming Ruby, Stephen, their family and friends to the Manor and we hope they all enjoyed their special day as much as the team here at Delamere did. We wish them well for the start of their journey together.
