Many brides like their bridesmaids to wear matching dresses, but sometimes, it’s hard to find a suitable style to match all body types, and you don’t want to risk upsetting any of your bridesmaids by choosing dresses that don’t properly fit. You could choose a different gown for each maid, but if you prefer a more uniform look, here are a few things to consider:
Sleeves
Some of your bridesmaids will be happy wearing a sleeveless dress, or a dress with straps, but this isn’t necessarily the case for everyone. To ensure all of your bridesmaids feel comfortable, consider opting for frocks with short, loose-fitting sleeves, three-quarter or full-length sleeves, depending on the weather, rather than having arms fully exposed.
Length
If some of your bridesmaids are reluctant to bare their legs and wear a short skirt or dress, consider a longer length maxi in a flowing style, which will be more flattering for all heights and shapes. If any of your bridesmaids are petite, avoid midi dresses if possible, which are not best suited for those under 5’3”.
Neckline
It can be difficult to choose a neckline that suits all shapes, but the V neck is probably a safe choice. Choose shallower or deeper Vs to match each bridesmaid’s individual requirements.
