Your big day may still feel a while away but in terms of beauty there’s lot of prep you can start early! Here are the Wedding Team at Delamere Manor’s top tips on how to make sure you look and feel your best!
Arrange to see a Dermatologist
If you have any specific skin concerns then it’s definitely worth booking in to see a dermatologist who can create a bespoke programme for your skin. New skin regimes often cause breakouts and it can take months to reap the benefits so get booked in early and get your skin on the right track!
Laser Hair Removal
While it’s not a cheap option, laser hair removal means you can throw away the razor and ensure smooth skin for your wedding and honeymoon. It typically takes six sessions, spaced six weeks apart so you’d want to start the course 9 – 12 months before your big day.
Go Green
Start juicing at least three months before and see the benefits in time for your big day. Leafy greens are especially good for the skin, bringing hydration, radiance and helping reduce puffiness.
Start Dry-Brushing
A bargain beauty buy…a body brush is a great way to kickstart the lymphatic system and improve skin tone. Check out Aromatherapy Associate’s Polishing Body Brush priced at £25. Start with three dry-brushing sessions per week, building up to daily.
Wash Your Hair Less Often
Over-shampooing is a sure fire way to lift and fade hair colour. Most experts recommend not shampooing more than three to four times a week. If you’re a daily hair-washer try rinsing without shampoo and using a mild detangler between washes.
Get Perfect Brows with Microblading
If you’re guilty of over-plucking in the past (let’s face it, most of us are!) then microblading could be the perfect solution to give you the brows you’ve always dreamed of. They need a week to heal and a touch-up four to six weeks later so it’s worth trying it out six months in advance of your big day to ensure you’re happy with the results.
Look after those Pearly Whites
Although there are lots of at home whitening kits on offer it’s worth consulting a dentist for professional-grade whitening options. And in the weeks leading up to your wedding avoid red wine and coffee as much as possible to avoid staining, but if you can’t live without a caffeine fix try drinking it through a straw!
