Whether it’s due to circumstances or personal preference, weddings take place during all four seasons, which means plans have to be made to accommodate the weather.
Let’s run through a few tips to make your wedding go smoothly come rain or shine if you’re planning a spring or summer wedding.
Spring
Spring weddings can be unpredictable. It’s just as likely to hail as it is to be gloriously sunny, and we all know the old adage about April showers. You may want to plan for an indoor ceremony and photoshoot if you’re not willing to gamble on the climate, or alternatively you could roll with the weather and order some white or seethrough umbrellas for your wedding party. Wedding day rain is said to be lucky after all! You could potentially plan to change your outfit into something drier for the evening reception if you’ve previously had a photoshoot in the rain.
Summer
Summer weddings are often beautiful and warm, and you may wish to take advantage of that with a strapless lightweight dress and pretty summery flowers in your bouquet. You could theme your bridesmaids to the weather by including some delicate parasols in their attire. To avoid your guests overheating, make sure to have water on hand for plenty of drinks.
