Think of stag nights, and images of a lively boys’ weekend in Ibiza probably spring to mind. Some grooms-to-be might look forward to their party in the Balearics, but it’s not to everyone’s taste.
There are a multitude of other ideas for your stag do that are very different from a weekend of clubbing, for men who prefer alternative pursuits.
1. Escape rooms
Escape games have risen in popularity over the past decade, and many escape rooms now offer special stag party activities for up to 50 players.
Using logic and teamwork to solve the clues and crack the challenges, the groom and groomsmen can have hours of fun in multiple rooms, for an exciting and unforgettable stag do.
2. Medieval jousting/banquet
Several medieval reenactment companies across the UK offer jousting training stag do packages. If the legends of King Arthur are your cup of tea, you’ll love this very different option for your pre-wedding outing.
You might opt to follow up your training with a traditional medieval banquet, complete with plenty of mead and entertaining jesters.
3. Monster trucks
Monster trucks are pretty impressive, and many grooms would love to have the experience of driving one of these beasts. A monster truck driving stag party is possible in the UK, but you might fancy heading off to Vilnius in Lithuania for a spot of culture as well as climbing into the cabin of some awesome monster trucks.
