Outdoor activities can be a little tricky to plan if you’ve chosen a January date for your special day, but here are a few great ideas you might like to consider for your winter wedding:
Fireworks
More of a show than an activity, watching fireworks lends itself perfectly to a January wedding. If your nuptial celebration falls on 1st January, that’s even better, as you can welcome in the new year at the same time with a spectacular firework display. Wrap up warm and enjoy the breathtaking pyrotechnic effects.
Snow fun
If it looks like a white winter world outside on your wedding day, take a change of clothes and indulge in a spot of snowman creating. You might want to give your guests a heads up in advance that you have this activity in mind, as it’s going to be hard to frolic in the snow wearing high heels and wedding finery.
Roast marshmallows
Keep warm outdoors with a chiminea or fire pit and gather your guests around for some marshmallow roasting during your January wedding. You could even take a tip from the USA and make “s’mores”, which consist of marshmallows, chocolate and a type of sweet biscuit called a graham cracker.
