Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of former Spice Girl Victoria and former professional footballer David, has proposed to his girlfriend of nine months, New Yorker actress Nicola Peltz.
The whirlwind romance actually began three years ago when Brooklyn and Nicola met at the Coachella music festival, but the couple were just friends until late 2019, at which point they became an official item.
Brooklyn, 21, presented 25-year-old Nicola with an enormous yet elegant emerald-cut diamond solitaire engagement ring, which has featured in a series of publicly posted social media snaps of the happy couple over the past couple of weeks, uploaded by Brooklyn and by his mother Victoria.
It is hard to match the status and wealth of the Beckham family, but Brooklyn may have found the perfect soulmate in Nicola, as she comes from an impressively formidable family herself. Her father, 78-year-old Nelson Peltz, is a billionaire businessman who founded Triangle Industries, a hugely successful packaging company, while her mother, Claudia, is a former fashion model. Nicola is the youngest of her father’s 10 children, whereas Brooklyn has three younger siblings.
It is unknown when the big day will take place, or which wedding venues have been shortlisted, but it is thought that two wedding ceremonies will take place, one in the UK and one in Florida. The Beckhams have purchased a home in London as an engagement gift for their son and his fiancée.
