Wedding Flower Predictions for 2021
With restrictions beginning to relax, weddings are back in bloom, and whether you’re planning a micro wedding in the coming months or something on a larger scale later in the year, the Wedding Team at Delamere Manor are here to help with our advice on all things floral!
Go Seasonal
If your wedding has been rescheduled to a different time of year you may need to look at changing your flowers if they’re no longer in season. Speak to your florist or floral designer and get their advice on the best choice. Peonies, Sweet Peas, Lily of the Valley and Roses are popular choices in Spring and Summer, Chrysanthemums and Garden Roses in Autumn and Lisianthus, Snowdrops and Alstromeria in Winter.
Go Sustainable
Many couples are looking to make more sustainable choices when it comes to their wedding and this extends to flowers too. One option is to source flowers from British growers, grown as locally as possible. Another is to incorporate dried flowers into your bouquet, they’re not dependent on season and will add additional texture to your blooms. And it’s definitely worth asking your florist if your flowers can be delivered without plastic packaging too.
Go Bright
With brighter days on the horizon, many couples are looking to inject some fun into all aspects of their big day, including their choice of flowers. More muted traditional palettes are making way for bolder designs with statement colours.
Go Big
Many couples are looking to focus their floral budget on larger statement designs. Think large sculptures, canopies of hanging flowers and meadow aisles, all very Instagrammable and the perfect backdrop if you want to zoom virtual guests in the coming months.
Go Low
We haven’t been able to spend quality time with our friends and family in a long time, so gone are dramatic centre pieces where you can’t see other guests across the table and in are low level beautiful tablescapes.
