• What kind of equipment do you use?

With the rise of TikTok and Instagram reels, wedding videographers are having to use a wide range of equipment to suit each wedding video style. Make sure you ask your videographer what equipment they will be using so you have an idea of how large the equipment will be and how many power supplies/wires they will need on the day. 

 

 

• Can I see an example of one of your previous wedding videos?

Like your photographer, it’s important to get a sense of your wedding videographers’ style before you go ahead with the booking. Make sure you do your research to see what style you and your partner like, so you know what you’re looking for and can ensure they share your overall vision.

 

Top tip – many videographers share clips of previous wedding videos on their website but ask to see a full-length video to make sure the rest of the video is at the same standard as the highlights.

 

 

• Have you ever worked with my photographer?

Both your photographer and videographer will be trying to capture the same moments, so it’s important they work well together so they don’t get in each other’s way. If they haven’t worked together before, make sure to put them in touch with each other so they can co-ordinate a plan for your big day. 

 

 

• How long will it take you to edit our video?

Editing a video is very time consuming and can take a while to master, so it’s important you ask your wedding videographer about time frames to clarify your expectations. Depending on the popularity of you wedding videographer, it can usually take from a few weeks to a few months to receive the final cut. 

 

 

• Are there any additional costs we may encounter?

No one wants to receive a surprise bill from a wedding supplier, so it’s important you know of any potential extra costs you may be liable for. Additional costs may include overtime, travel, accommodation, or maybe even significant edits. Make sure you receive a clear outline of what the maximum cost for your wedding videographer will be to avoid extra billing.
