A New Chapter at Delamere Manor
At Delamere Manor, every wedding is shaped not only by the setting, but by the people behind the scenes who bring each day to life.
Recently, we said a heartfelt farewell to Joy, our wonderful Events & Operations Manager, who retired after 10 incredible years with us. During her time at Delamere Manor, Joy became such a valued part of so many couples’ journeys, known for her dedication, warmth and the truly amazing care she gave to every wedding she was part of.
While she has officially stepped back from her role, Joy isn’t quite ready to say goodbye to the Manor completely. You may still see her around from time to time as she continues to support the team on a more casual basis, reflecting just how much she loves Delamere Manor and the couples we welcome here. She will always be part of the Delamere Manor story, and we wish her all the very best in this exciting new chapter.
As we look ahead, we’re delighted to introduce two new members of the team who will continue delivering the exceptional service and unforgettable experiences Delamere Manor is known for — Darren and Jessica.
Darren Wells – Venue Manager
With over 20 years of experience in weddings and events, Darren brings a wealth of knowledge, energy and passion to Delamere Manor.
His career has taken him across the world, including 15 years in Toronto, Canada, where he managed a successful events company delivering everything from elegant weddings to large-scale celebrations. He has also worked at the prestigious Oxford and Cambridge Club in London and at several beautiful châteaux in the south of France.
Darren is known for his calm, friendly and hands-on approach. He works closely with every couple to ensure they feel relaxed, supported, and excited throughout their planning journey, while ensuring every detail runs seamlessly behind the scenes.
Outside of work, Darren is a passionate traveller — recently completing a journey around the Baltic Sea — and a keen runner who has completed several marathons, which reflect the energy and commitment he brings to every event.
Jessica Hatch – Customer Journey & Experience Coordinator
Jessica brings creativity, warmth and a fresh perspective to the Delamere Manor experience.
With a background in luxury fashion styling at Harrods, she developed a strong eye for detail and style. Her experience also includes assisting with appearance and performance styling for global artists such as Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga and Florence and the Machine.
Jessica later moved into the wellness and fitness industry, where customer experience and wellbeing became central to her work. After a year travelling around New Zealand, she settled in Cheshire and joined the Delamere Manor team.
She now works closely with couples as they begin their wedding journey, helping them visualise their day and feel confident, inspired and supported from the very start.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys cooking, yoga, fitness, gardening and creative pursuits such as pottery and painting. She also has a scruffy Lakeland Terrier, Stanley, and six chickens — bringing just as much personality to home life as she does to the Manor.
Looking Ahead
While we say goodbye to one chapter, we’re incredibly excited for what’s to come.
With Darren and Jessica joining the team, and Joy still very much part of the Delamere Manor family, we continue our commitment to delivering thoughtful, personal and truly unforgettable wedding experiences — ensuring every couple feels safe and in experienced hands from beginning to end.
