There have been many wedding cancellations and postponements due to the pandemic, but now restrictions have eased, the Wedding Team at Delamere Manor have pulled together a list of the top five things we’ve missed about big weddings and why we can’t wait to start organising big celebrations again this year…
1. The Pre-wedding Events
It’s not just wedding ceremonies that have been affected by the pandemic but pre-wedding celebrations too! We can’t wait for our married couples-to-be to be able to enjoy a night on the town with their friends and family again before they officially tie the knot – there’s nothing better than a good hen/stag story for the wedding party!
2. Outfit Spotting
Due to the number of guests being restricted, we’ve not been able to gain much wedding outfit inspiration over the past year. We can’t wait for bride and grooms to get creative again with their wedding party outfit choices. From different colours and patterns to mixing and matching, the bigger the wedding party – the better the variety!
3. Group Photo Opportunities
Together at last! Now that we’re allowed to hug again, it means all the wedding guests can come together for that big wedding photo. There are not many opportunities to get a big photo of all your friends and family together, so getting that perfect shot is a big deal! We can’t wait to see the creative poses you’ve all been practising for the big day.
4. The Wedding Breakfast
Wedding breakfasts have been rather small during the pandemic, so we can’t wait to have a room full of guests once again. From sharing a meal and chit chat at the bar to laughing during the wedding speeches and coming together for a toast, the wedding breakfast holds many special moments in a wedding, and we’re excited for all our future bride and grooms to be able to enjoy these once again with all of their family and friends.
5. The Dance Moves
We’ve been able to see the bride and groom share their first dance but we’ve missed seeing guests hit the dance floor and make the most of Delamere Manor’s very own nightclub! We can’t wait to see our dance floor full again in and see which Tik Tok moves you’ve mastered during lockdown!
